RISK CAPITAL

An entrepreneur, a company or endeavour needs capital to be launched.

The entrepreneur can have the availability of the necessary capital to achieve his endeavour but it is usual that he didn´t have it or have only a percentage of the necessary amount of money.

So the entrepreneur should search external capital sources. Sometimes the capital comes from friends or members of his family. In other cases he has a capital partner or many capital partners. Sometimes these partners also take an active part in the endeavour, sometimes they only invest capital.

Apart from these situations, the entrepreneur should take contact with risk capital meaning that kind of capital which is invested in innovations. They call it risk capital because involving innovations, the capitalalso begins a new road, investments that internationally are identified as risk.

This concept is not negative but on the contrary it involvs positive investment in tested and approved innovation. The risk capital is the main capital source in countries as United States of America The risk capital is the main capital source for innovation in countries as United States of America, European Union countries and many Asian countries. Thanks to risk capital the innovation companies grow and increase in the main markets in the world.

Its investment is conveniently regulated in a way that its administration and managing are clear and transparent.

BUSINESS ANGELS

Another type of capital is the Business Angels Networks. Under this type of capital entrepreneurs and investors gather and approach searching for new business. Entrepreneurs and investors usually search business which estimate value don´t exceed those figures that could enable to access the Stock Exchange institutions belonging to their countries.

In some countries these Business Angels networks have an important operation thanks to the fact that investment in innovation is a part of usual business. In other countries it has less development. These networks that in the beginning national, today - as a consequence of the globalization - have quickly turned into international offering new and interesting opportunities.

These capital sources are available in South America. Their origin is either national as from abroad, public and private.
